Nersa registers new solar projects
JOHANNESBURG – The National Energy Regulator of South Africa has registered two new 100 Megawatt solar projects.
Located in the North West the projects will generate power for Tronox Mineral Sands at five facilities.
The two projects, which have been approved, are developed and operated by Sola Group.
The company says the registration of the projects took 73 days from submission.
It says the project will pave the way for other large-scale private projects to receive approvals to contribute generation capacity to the grid.
